This is me in action, post work out yesterday. I took this picture…because, a male requested that I send him a “cute picture of your face”. Uhhh, I was not cute at that moment.
Anyways, I’ve been so ridiculously busy and will continue to be. I don’t think I got that job as the bike cross country person…that’s fine, I have another job interview to be a swim instructor next week. Fingers crossed!
Also: I have two new work out buddies, a good friend of mine who lives down the street just got a gym membership at my gym and she’s pretty much dtf (and by “dtf” I mean…down to work out? I am not sure why “dtf” seemed fit but I’m keepin’ it there). & THEN! There is this mother who drops off her 2 year old son at the daycare I work at just so she can have time to work out. She’s got such a rockin’ body I can’t even handle it…we exchanged phone numbers today aaaand we’re gonna do kickboxing together. ;DD
Aside from ALL THAT — I got an apartment in Syracuse, NY and my lease starts in July…I joined the SU Sailing Team, I went off the paleo diet over the weekend at a Sweet 16 and my hands have been swollen ever since. What else…uhh, oh I have a video shoot to do over the weekend! The end bye

Last summer, I was a member of the Hudson Valley Triathlon Team. That meant, I spent my weeks training on my own and my weekends doing a practice sprint triathlon with the team + spin class + maybe a bikram yoga class.

BUT! Hudson Valley Triathlon Team’s training camp no longer exists ‘cause our coach moved on to bigger and better things. :( I’ve been trying to look for a good training camp to replace the amazing experience I had last year…and it does not seem to exist!

Which means…oh, I guess I’ll have to take matters into my own hands? Create my own customized schedule and be strict about it. Which is fine, but it’s nice to get someone’s professional advice. Well, fuck!

In Regards to Lyf

“I’m in a slump.” “Why? Because you’re sick?” “Well, yeah. I guess. I feel like I go to do things…but I can’t actually do any of them.” “You are your father’s daughter, how do you think I feel?”

I look at my dad, a man sitting on the couch sipping a cup of green tea; recovering from open heart surgery and awaiting a phone call that will give him the ‘okay’ to move forward with the next surgery. The next surgery to get the cancer removed.

We’re human, and sometimes that means we have to stop life — put everything on hold and take care of the bodies we’re responsible for; and the people we care about.

Even if I want to go outside and run 10 miles tomorrow morning…I have to acknowledge that that’s not necessarily a good idea.

Even if I want to run a 1/2 Marathon in February, I have to acknowledge that there will be more 1/2 Marathons and that…I have to be home for my father when he needs me. That’s life; just throwin’ the unexpected all up in my shit.

Vanilla Cultured Coconut Milk (“yogurt”) is delicious, and I forgot. (by So Delicious)

I packed my gym bag; heading straight there after work. Taking a break from running today.

Spin instead. Spinstead Mondays

It’s a lower body/abdominals kind of day; also I ordered the “Paleo for Athletes” book on Amazon and it should be here any day now.

I have not eaten meat in the year of 2012; making this whole vegan thing very legitimate.

I have to admit to maybe being a “fegan” though. I like salmon too much to not. K C YA

Anyways! I’ve been so busy lately I’ve hardly had time to sit down and write about myself. ;D
Memorial Day weekend included one horrifically uncomfortable 5K run, in the extreme humidity and 3 full days of moving furniture, carrying heavy boxes and desks up and down several flights of stairs, painting, buying a kayak, and yesterday I went swimming! :D

Intake for yesteryear,
Lunch: Egg white protein shake, with 1/2 a banana and 1 tbs of coconut oil (post work out)
Dinner: Lettuce wraps with guacamole and red peppers and red onions and shrimp, and green beans and lil bby potatoes
Snacks: two handfuls of raw walnuts
> Fact: I find I work out 100% better on an empty stomach.
> Fact: I find I feel 100% better throughout the day when I don’t eat breakfast.
> Fact: This would be I think, 10 days straight of a binge-free/crave-free attitude. 
> Fact: I am losing my job in exactly one month, because the childcare center is closing down. No, my boss didn’t tell me. A parent did. I’ve worked here for nearly a year and a half, you’d think this lady would be gracious enough to be all “LOL FYI U LYK DN’T HAVE A JOB NEMORE” — so, I have already applied as a swim/waterfront instructor for two separate camps and as a “Bike Leader” for an adventure camp where…you bike for miles and miles every day and camp with a bunch of teenagers! Actually sounds so ideal to me I could throw up. Oh, also as a lifeguard for a water park.

Nocturnal tendencies really set me off on the wrong foot at the beginning of each day.

I’m upset because I have gained weight, but what did I expect to happen when I eat like an asshole and slack in the fitness area?!

Just gotta reignite the “I’m-my-own-worst-critic-best-coach” fire. I think it has been reignited.

I just wish tha flame never went out. Holidays and what have ya.

LET ME JUST REITERATE THAT I’M SICK AND THIS SUCKS.

Oh, also. I am like battling the evil that is like whispering into my sinuses.

I mean, literally. I have had a weird ringing in my right ear for the past like 3 weeks; I don’t know if it’s relevant to my sinus infection or miserable cough and oversleeping.

Ugh, I also found out that my father’s next surgery may be around the same time I was supposed to travel down to Savannah, GA for my first 1/2 marathon race. Yeah, the one I’ve been spending all winter training for.

Yeah, the one that I just bought my train tickets for yesterday. 

Yeah, the one my mom told me I should probably figure out how to get a refund on.

Things are gay. :( I haven’t worked out in a few days because my lungs refuse to let me try to improve an already healthy body when my body is not even actually already healthy. Ya dig?

10,000+ mg of Vitamin C a day, Zinc, Garlic supplements, B12, B1, D, Acidopholus. Life

This morning!! I don’t know what my problem was but the already hillylicious murderous landscape of Lake Small Anonymous Town, NJ (or maybe NY, who knows ;) ) was extraaa murderous. As I was just approaching the top of the first hill I 1.) wanted to throw the FUCK up and 2.) lay down and roll myself to the next Hill of Tears and Fears; or perhaps call a taxi and nap a lil while.But, nah. :) I ran the whole way instead of being a bitch about it.
